The workshop will give you the chance to work on specific set of skills in an interesting way : exploring different types of attention, playing with body mechanics, combining both analytical and poetic thinking — among other creative tasks, all designed to give you the best balboa weekend experience and leave you with an upgraded toolbox to use in both your personal practice and social dancing.
Dancing together is a form of play and communication. We have the most fun when it's cozy and comfortable but also a little funky and crazy ! That's what we wanna share with you.
For each day we have first 2 hours of class content followed by one hour of guided practice, where you will be able to explore the class's concepts in your own tempo, we will share tools on how to practice dance, how to give feedback to each other and some personal tips.
Bring warm winter socks and slidy swing shoes. We will invite you to start the classes without shoes for better floor connection.
