About this Event
The Renters’ Rights Act 2025 introduces the most significant changes to the private rented sector in over a generation, with the first phase of reforms coming into force on 1st May 2026. These changes affect all landlords, agents and property practitioners and will fundamentally alter the legal and practical framework for residential letting. This seminar, hosted by Dean Wilson LLP and led by Daniel Dickson, Senior Associate Solicitor and former President of the Sussex Law Society , provides a clear and practical guide to the reforms, focusing on what participants must do now to prepare for the transition.
Our Housing & Property Litigation team will provide an accessible breakdown of the new tenancy structure, possession routes, rent‑increase restrictions, fair‑lettings duties and compliance expectations for agencies. The session will also highlight practical steps to future‑proof portfolios, manage higher‑risk tenancies and adapt internal processes.
