About this Event
Hoods are versatile and used on many character designs. Use what you learn in this class and incorporate it into your cosplay! This hooded scarf is beautiful enough for every-day wear if you're not a cosplayer.
This sewing class is for beginners/ advanced beginners and teaches how to sew a reversible hooded scarf with a lining. Students should already know how to do a straight stitch on a sewing machine. You will learn how to understitch and topstitch for clean and crisp-looking garments.
Sewing machines and materials except fabric are provided.
Ages 16 and up.
Please note: you will need to bring fabric to this class. One yard length of the outer fabric, and one yard length of the inner (lining) fabric, with 30 inch width minimum. Use a woven fabric, not a knit (stretch) fabric. You might want to avoid slippery fabric if you are a beginner. Avoid quilting cotton. The fabric in the photo is Casa Collection Crepe fabric from Michael's. For fabric questions email [email protected]
