Join Italian-born Sara Seravalli for a relaxed and interactive cooking demonstration at Il Salotto — Glasgow's beautiful design hub in the Merchant City.
In this hands-on session, Sara will show you how to prepare three classic Italian risottos — the kind that take patience, a good pour of wine, and someone who actually knows what they're doing. You'll be stirring, tasting, and learning the secrets to getting that perfect texture and depth of flavour, all while sipping a glass of something lovely.
Learn why risotto isn't difficult — it just needs love, the right technique, and a few insider tricks you won't find on the back of a packet.
Every session, we will be making and eating:
- Risotto alla Milanese — the most traditional of them all, with saffron (and optional sausage for the meat lovers)
- Mushroom Risotto — earthy, rich, and deeply satisfying
- Radicchio with Taleggio or Pea and Pancetta — a seasonal choice, both utterly delicious
