COOKING FOR CHANGE - A SEED TO SOUL MOVEMENT

An annual celebration that brings together farmers, chefs, and organizations leading the way toward a more sustainable food future.
About this Event

Cooking for Change is back.

Last year, we gathered around one idea: how we reduce food waste. This year’s theme explores what it means to create a circular food system — one where nothing goes to waste. In a circular economy, every part of the process is connected: food scraps become compost, leftovers spark creativity, and resources are shared so that the cycle of growing, cooking, and caring for the land continues.

Through interactive booths, live workshops, tasting experiences, and music, Cooking for Change is more than an event — it’s a movement of gratitude and action. We come together to celebrate those already creating change and to inspire everyone to play a part in bringing food full circle.

This event brings together seed keepers, Indigenous food sovereignty organizations, regenerative farmers, chefs, zero-waste advocates, and community-led initiatives shaping a more circular food system. It gives a platform to their voices, connects them with one another, and invites the public to take part in a system that values people, food, and the planet.
