In celebration of Juneteenth, Cook. Swap. Repeat. cookbook club will meet on June 19th to explore the hsitory and traditions of Juneteenth.
Join a unique cookbook club experience celebrating cookbooks authored by Black chefs and writers. Whether you're an experienced home cook or just starting, this gathering is perfect for cookbook collectors and curious cooks alike.
What to Expect:
Bring your favorite cookbook by a Black author and enjoy a live cooking demo by Chef Quientina Stewart-Morrow. Swap, borrow, and share your favorite cookbooks while connecting with fellow cooks.
What’s Included:
Communion and connection with passionate and curious cooks.
Note cards to share your contact information.
A sample of Chef Quientina's delicious demo dish.
An invaluable opportunity to engage and interact with a professional chef instructor who can answer your cooking questions.
Light refreshments.
Bite-sized cooking tips.
What to Bring:
-Please bring at least two cookbooks you wouldn't mind swapping or discussing.
-An open mind and willingness to learn.

Cook. Swap. Repeat. is dedicated to exploring Black-authored cookbooks. Our featured cookbook of the season is Watermelon and Red Birds: A Cookbook for Juneteenth and Black Celebrations by Nicole A. Taylor which can be purchased through Red Rice Books @redricebooks.
What to Expect:
Cook & Learn: Watch a live cooking demo by Quientina Stewart. You’ll get to sample a recipe from our featured cookbook.
Shop & Swap: Browse, borrow, and swap cookbooks with fellow attendees. Bring at least two cookbooks you’d like to share! Red Rice Books will also be on-site, with cookbooks and other items for sale.
Connect & Repeat: This is your chance to meet new people, share your favorite recipes, and become a member of the Cook. Swap. Repeat. cookbook club!

3. Ownership & Rights
All photos, videos, and recordings taken during the event are the sole property of the Cook. Swap. Repeat. Cookbook Club. I waive any rights to inspect or approve the final media in which my likeness appears.
4. Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless the Cook. Swap. Repeat. Cookbook Club, its owners, team members, contractors, and partners from any claims, demands, or liability related to the use of my image or likeness.
5. Voluntary Participation
I acknowledge that my participation in this event is voluntary and that I have read and understand this.
Opt-Out Clause
