About this Event
As AI-generated images, music, and writing flood our feeds, a deeper question emerges: who owns creativity — and who gets to define it? This conversation sits at the intersection of technology, law, and artistic identity, exploring how AI is reshaping what it means to make something, and what protections — if any — exist for the humans behind the work.
From visual artists whose styles have been scraped without consent to musicians navigating synthetic voices and ghostwritten albums, creators across industries are grappling with emerging AI tools and what it means for their trade. We'll examine the policy landscape, the platform decisions, and the power dynamics shaping who benefits from AI creativity — and who bears the cost.
Join us for an honest, grounded conversation about art, authorship, and the future of creative rights in the age of AI.
Conversations About AI is a series of panel discussions that aims to make sense of how AI might affect your daily life, whether you're a professional, small business owner, artist, parent, student, or simply curious. You’ll hear about what’s changing and come to understand both how it impacts your work and community and some practical steps you can take to keep pace and be more equipped to navigate what’s ahead.
