CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOP: IMPROVISE & COMPOSE

Led by Abhilash Ningappa, this workshop explores the meeting point of martial arts and contemporary dance. It invites participants to access movement through awareness, memory, and instinct—where the body leads and the mind reflects.

Grounded in principles of breath, speed, and energy, and informed by Martial arts, the practice develops refined improvisation through tasks and scores. Participants engage with the body’s sensory intelligence, navigating space, emotion, and confrontation to uncover new layers of presence and composition.
