Mondays and Wednesdays from 1st Feb 2026 to 1st May 2026
This contemporary movement program focuses on building strong technical foundations while developing fluidity, control, and embodied awareness. Classes explore turns, floorwork, transitions, elevation, and dynamic movement qualities, alongside strength and conditioning.
Anatomy and movement theory are integrated into practice, helping dancers understand how and why the body moves—supporting safer movement, efficiency, and intentional expression.
Designed for beginners looking to start and deepen their contemporary practice, expand movement vocabulary, and build a more conscious connection to their body.
About the teacher:
Tanya Ballal is a performer and movement artist working across contemporary dance, pole, aerial arts, and theatre. Trained in applied and educational theatre, her practice blends physical storytelling, technique, and embodied exploration. She is the founder of Ekisa, Bangalore’s first dedicated pole and aerial movement space, and has been instrumental in building inclusive, performance-led movement communities in the city.
