Contact Beyond Contact (CBC) is a somatic movement based practice that integrates Authentic Movement (AM), Contact Improvisation (CI) and Passing Through (PT) with profound practices of qigong, yoga, healing modalities and energy work, mindfulness, leadership skills, somatics, principles of behaviorism, as well as the philosophies of Buddhism; Hinduismn and Taoism. These practices are well-woven together to create a holistic integration of the Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit.
This is an intentional movement practice appropriate for experienced technical dancers, people who simply like to move, and for people like to be more connected and present with/in their bodies. CBC invites you to co-create and to refine the qualities of deep listening, judgement, and consent evolving from our exploration of the physical and non-physical conversations as a collective. CBC provides a safe container where you can trust, express and transform. This is an open level practice, where all tools are accessible to everyone, making the practice available for all bodies and people of any professional, cultural and religious backgrounds.
The aim of CBC practice is to:
* connect to your body and mind, and through that improve your relationship with yourself
* understand and reflect on your behavioral and emotional patterns, and through that improve relationships with others
* explore yourself in group dynamics
* understand & learn how to set boundaries
* heal & balance body, mind, heart
* release emotions
* express, grow & transform
* create unity

Background information
Creation of CBC:
CBC was created by Vangelis Legakis after many years of dance practice, research and teaching, and by integrating healing modalities, meditation and spirituality. CBC has taken a unique substance and form that we wish to share to the world for transformation and healing.

About the facilitator:
Anuja is a Sri Lankan German, living in Munich. She started dancing at the age of 5 and has been exploring various dance styles from a choreographic and improvisation approach, as well as Contact Improvisation, partner dances, and more. For the longest time, she enjoyed the physical part of dance, however, along the way, she realized that dance has been supporting her in her self-development and healing journey.
In the couple of past years, Anuja has been researching herself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and discovered the healing powers of dance, yoga, breath, voice and water. She truly believes that by connecting to our body’s wisdom, we get to shed layers of emotions, understand new and alternative perspectives and improve relationships with ourselves and others.
Besides a CBC facilitator, Anuja is also a Hatha Vinyasa yoga teacher, an Aquatic Flow Therapist/Water Therapist and a Project Manager.
