Constant Follower's critically acclaimed and "utterly beguiling" debut album for legendary New York label Shimmy Disc was shortlisted for the 2022 Scottish Album of the Year Award (SAY) and topped multiple 'Best Albums of 2021’ lists. This success led to notable performances at Austin's SXSW festival and a spellbinding set from the top of Scotland’s National Wallace Monument. A story of resilience, songwriter Stephen McAll returned to music after a decade recovering from severe head injuries, creating the much celebrated ‘Neither Is, Nor Ever Was’.Since then, Stephen has continued creating new music, including a collaboration with Scottish guitarist Scott William Urquhart (also nominated for the Album of the Year), and working on the new Constant Follower album 'The Smile You Send Out Returns To You', set for release February 28th 2025 on Last Night From Glasgow.
