CONSOLIDATE Demystifying Dementia Workshop

Demystifying Dementia is an interactive workshop event designed primarily for early career researchers and new academics with an interest in dementia research, although colleagues at all career stages are warmly welcome. The event will be offered both in person and online, allowing attendees to choose the format that best suits them. Bringing together researchers, people living with dementia, carers, and Scottish charity partners, the session will explore the realities of dementia beyond the stereotypes and statistics. Through lived experience discussions, panel conversations, and interactive activities, attendees will gain insight into the challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities of conducting meaningful, inclusive dementia research. The event aims to encourage reflection, collaboration, and more person-centred approaches across disciplines.

This interactive workshop is part of the EPSRC Network+ CONSOLIDATE project.
