About this Event
The BeaYOUtiful Foundation is excited to partner with Leslieville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, bringing a unique movement based workshop to the community. Confidence In Motion is an empowering workshop designed to help girls and non-binary youth ages 8–14 navigate confidence both mentally and physically. In this workshop, participants will learn the tools to build a growth mindset, embrace mistakes as building blocks to confidence, and discover the power of resiliency. Guided by mentorship, movement and reflection, participants will use teamwork on and off the mat to create a space where everyone grows stronger together. The workshop will consit of a BeaYOUtiful growth-mindset session and conclude with an introduction session in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
No experience or equipment needed! This is a great movement class for all.
What participants will experience:
- A safe and welcoming environment led by trusted mentors.
- BeaYOUtiful Growth-Mindset Workshop including mentorship led conversations and creative tangible activities.
- An introduction session to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - exploring stance, balance, & proper safety movements. Attendees are encouraged to particpate at their own pace and will be empowered to take part in power stances, teamwork exercises, and Jiu Jitsu games.
