About this Event
On 26 March Condé Nast Traveller will host A Taste of Costa Navarino to celebrate the cuisine of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, a region of unspoiled and breathtaking Mediterranean landscapes. Costa Navarino is a sustainably driven destination motivated by a desire to promote an area shaped by land, sea and tradition while protecting its natural beauty and 4,500-year-old cultural heritage. Endowed with centuries‑old olive groves that produce kalamata olives and koroneiki cold-pressed extra virgin oil, Costa Navarino maintains a culinary philosophy rooted in a food culture that celebrates terroir, tradition and simplicity. Guests will be treated to a cocktail- and-canapé reception at 6.30pm followed by a tasting menu by Nikos Billis, executive chef of beachfront resort W Costa Navarino, who previously worked at Michelin-starred Noma in Copenhagen. Billis will showcase his seasonal, nutrient-rich cuisine, which is deeply rooted in Messinia and prepared using modern Mediterranean techniques. The event will be held at Fenix, a new restaurant in Mayfair that blends Greek heritage with contemporary flair. Its executive chef, Zisis Giannouras, will collaborate with Billis on the night.
