CONCERTO AND PIANO DUO COMPETITION
The Advanced Performance Competition offers advanced level Piano students (Levels RCM 9 and above) the opportunity to perform for some of Canada’s top adjudicators.
Concert begins at 6 pm. Students will perform back to back and will be given comments by the adjudicator at the end of the concert.
March 21 - Kyoko Hashimoto (Concerto Competition, March 7 registration deadline)
Location: In-person at Steinway Piano Gallery Ottawa - 1481 Innes Road
Eligibility
Concerto Division
- Automatic qualification: First Place in any APC class this year or top 3 overall marks last year.
- Standard qualification: Auditioned for APC at least twice this year + teacher approval.
Piano Duo Division
- Each member must independently meet standard eligibility. Automatic qualification in Concerto does not automatically qualify a duo.
No Audition Required
- Application means “I would like a spot” — submitting an application does not guarantee placement. There is no fee to apply.
- Registration means “you have a confirmed spot” — students who meet automatic or standard eligibility will receive a private registration code to confirm their spot. At that time, the registration fee is due:
- Payment is non-refundable, even in case of scheduling conflicts, illness, or change of plans.
- Priority is given to students whose teachers actively support the APC series, reflecting their ongoing engagement.
