This concert brings together famous arias about passion, freedom, and defying fate. From the daring Habanera from Carmen to the tragic Pace, pace, mio Dio from La forza del destino, and the powerful duet Dio che nell’alma infondere from Don Carlo presented in an unusual queer interpretation.
This is the music about people who did not fit the rules of their time.
Perhaps that is exactly why it sounds so contemporary today.
