Padma Bhushan Begum Parween Sultana, one of India’s most loved Hindustani classical vocalists, brings her magical voice to Jaipur. Famous for blending the depth of khayal, the charm of thumri, and the lyrical flow of dadra, she has also given Indian cinema some of its most unforgettable songs like “Humen Tumse Pyaar Kitna” (Kudrat, 1981), “Aan Milo Sajna” (Gadar), and “Waada Tumse Hai” (1920).
In this concert, Begum Sultana will present a repertoire of classical ragas and semi-classical compositions, offering an evening that reflects both her artistry and her enduring legacy as one of India’s greatest vocalists.
The event is presented in collaboration with Rajasthan Tourism and SPIC MACAY to mark the beginning of Cultural Diaries series.
