About this Event

Learn how to create a fabulously rich soil conditioner out of your unwanted food and garden waste with Warwickshire Waste Partnership.

Come along to this free workshop to find out more about composting at home. Whether you are just starting or have been composting for years, we can teach you the process of recycling organic waste, such as food scraps and green garden waste, into nutrient-rich soil through natural decomposition. The session is run by the Warwickshire Waste Partnership to help reduce the amount of food and garden waste being thrown away.

If you are a Warwickshire resident and attend the workshop you will be entitled to receive an additional ยฃ10 reduction off the subsidised home compost bins (offer limited to one cut price bin per household).

This workshop will be hosted by Caroline, whose role in the Waste Management Behaviour Change Team is to encourage residents to waste less by thinking about what they are buying and what will happen to it once it is finished with. Is it single use, or can it be used again? Can it be recycled or composted? The home compost workshops are an excellent way of reducing the need for garden and food waste to be collected at the kerbside and provide a valuable rich compost for free.

This session will last approximately 1 hour including a question and answer session.
