Join Jeremy Corbyn MP, OR Books author Peter Oborne, and other leading authorities to discuss Britain's role in the destruction of Gaza
About this Event

How did British officials and media respond as Israel reduced Gaza to rubble?

What part did successive British governments play in creating the conditions for this catastrophe?

And why?

Join us for an urgent public conversation unpacking Britain’s historic, political, military, and media complicity in the ongoing destruction of Gaza.

Our panel brings together leading writers, reporters, and human rights campaigners:

  • Peter Oborne, associate editor of Middle East Eye, former political editor of The Spectator, and author of the new, Sunday Times-bestselling book
  • Jeremy Corbyn, independent MP for Islington North, co-founder of Stop the War, and former leader of the Labour Party
  • Laleh Khalili, professor of Gulf Studies at the University of Exeter and the author, most recently, of Extractive Capitalism: How Commodities and Cronyism Drive the Global Economy
  • Anas Altikriti, CEO and founder of The Cordoba Foundation and former president of the Muslim Association of Britain
  • Matt Kennard, award-winning author and investigative journalist who has reported extensively on British military support for Israel

Opening presentations will be followed by a roundtable and audience Q&A moderated by Matt Kennard.

Copies of Peter Oborne’s new book, , may be purchased at a discount with a combination ticket and collected at the venue.

Doors open at 6pm.

This event will take place at Madani Hub, London, Myrdle St, London E1 1HL. (Near the East London Mosque).
