Beacon, NY — Composers Concordance joins forces with Howland Cultural Center to presentCompCord at Howland, an exciting evening where adventurous musicians from New York City and Beacon come together to create a vibrant cross-Hudson artistic exchange. Blending jazz, contemporary classical, improvisation, poetry, and groove-driven experimentation, the concert highlights the creative energy that emerges when two thriving musical communities meet.
Set in the historic and intimate atmosphere of the Howland Cultural Center, the program will feature works by composers Dan Cooper, Brad Hubbard, Debra Kaye, Gwen Laster, Gene Pritsker, Judi Silvano, and Bill Ware. The concert reflects the eclectic spirit of Composers Concordance, known for dissolving stylistic boundaries and fostering collaboration among artists from diverse backgrounds.
The evening’s ensemble brings together an exceptional lineup of performers from both NYC and the Hudson Valley:
