This group get together is a those of you that have been building up mileage on the trails and are ready for a longer, more challenging adventure! We also welcome our more experienced trail running friends to join us – it is always fun to be in community out on the trails in nature! Trail running (and running with experienced trail runners) can feel a bit intimidating at first. Ultrarunner and Coach Courtney Wolfe wants to help you feel empowered, confident and joyful out there on the trail.
Each month, we meet at and run a different trail (or series of shorter trails), progressively moving to longer distances or more varied terrain. This run is our longest group run offered to date – 18.7 miles! Be prepared with ample calories (snacks!) and electrolytes… the rolling hills have a way of sneaking up on ya out there! But no worries…trail running is about slowing down, soaking in the experience, having fun and yes, sometimes walking! We will walk all the uphills and take our time soaking in the beauty this park has to offer. If you struggle with taking your time, we encourage you to leave your watch behind and get out of your head! Mindset is part of training, too!
There is absolutely no charge for these monthly runs, but we do ask you to RSVP by registering… this way, we know who to look out for (and we also have your e-mail so we can send you more details about meeting locations, future trail running events, training opportunities and experiences!).
