Enjoy a season’s worth of fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers! Snug Harbor Heritage Farm is a nexus where people come for produce grown by the community for the community. This year, the Snug Harbor Heritage Farm CSA will offer more varietals than ever, including suggestions from our community members (thank you all very much!).We sourced our seed and root stock from innovative seed savers who are preserving genetic diversity in our corner of the world. We utilized the Slow Food Foundation’s Ark of Taste as a reference (the Ark of Taste is a living catalog of delicious, nutritious, distinctive foods facing extinction because they don’t work well for the needs of a globalized food system, which requires maximized volume, minimal attention, ability to handle traveling long distances, and a consistency in product). We will also be incorporating perennial flowers and herbs, thanks to an investment from City Gardens Club to create perennial pollinator strips within the farm fields.
