Inflammation—it’s a natural process in the body that helps us heal from injuries and fight off infections. But when inflammation becomes chronic, it can lead to fatigue, joint pain, digestive issues, and even contribute to chronic diseases and mental health conditions. The good news? What we eat can play a powerful role in reducing inflammation and supporting overall health and vitality. On Thursday, January 23rd we’ll explore the benefits of adopting an anti-inflammatory diet and how to make sustainable changes to our eating habits without sacrificing satisfaction or joy. Whether you're looking to cut back on sugar, incorporate more nutrient-dense foods, or reduce your reliance on processed and inflammatory ingredients, this session is for you.
Psanctum co-founder Eden Woodruff will kick off the discussion by sharing her personal journey of transforming her diet to improve her health. She’ll describe how sugar and processed foods once played a central role in her life, the tools she used to make lasting changes, and how these shifts have helped her maintain balance and energy for over 3.5 years. We'll then open the conversation to allow all participants to share their thoughts, challenges, and successes.
In this session, we’ll discuss practical strategies for building an anti-inflammatory diet that works for you. Together, participants will explore:
⦿ The role of sugar and processed foods in chronic inflammation. Learn how reducing sugar and refined carbohydrates can help stabilize blood sugar levels, lower inflammation, and improve overall well-being, (and the steps Eden took to drastically reduce her sugar intake semi-painlessly!)
⦿ Nutrient-dense foods that fight inflammation. Discover how to incorporate anti-inflammatory powerhouses like leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, berries, omega-3-rich foods, nuts, seeds, and spices (like turmeric and ginger) into your meals.
⦿ The connection between gut health and inflammation. Understand how fermented foods, fiber-rich ingredients, and probiotics can help support a healthy gut microbiome, which plays a key role in managing inflammation.
⦿ Practical tips for reducing reliance on processed foods. Learn how to cook simple, delicious meals with whole, unprocessed ingredients, and find satisfying alternatives to snacks and treats.
⦿ Developing a mindset for lasting change. Explore how to build habits that align with your health goals, whether it’s mindful eating, meal planning, or balancing occasional indulgences with overall healthy choices.
By the end of this session, you’ll leave with tools, tips, and inspiration to create a diet that supports reduced inflammation, more energy, and improved health—all while still enjoying the pleasures of eating.
Join us for an empowering conversation where we’ll share ideas, recipes, and encouragement to make lasting changes that nourish the body and the mind.
