Join us for a delicious homemade iftar with optional prayers and practices through the night to mark the last 10 nights of Ramadan

Experience a spiritually enriching day and night in a beautiful, sacred setting at the School of Sufi Teaching during the blessed month of Ramadan, in aid of Palestine.

Iftar: Delicious and home-made by our in-house master chefs, Saada and Saba
Prayers: Congregation prayers, Taraweeh prayers + special duas for Palestine
Qur’an recitation/meditation: Experience intimacy with the Qur’an in the stillness of the SOST Zawiya
Silent Sufi meditation: guided instruction in this ancient transformative practice
Optional night practices
Sohoor: pre-fasting morning meal

As the sun sets, we will come together for a delicious, homemade, communal Iftar meal, breaking our fast in the spirit of unity and gratitude.

As this unique event falls within the last 10 nights of Ramadan - a very auspicious time to be charitable, to make duas and to do extensive spiritual practices - the Zawiya will remain open until sunrise. You are welcome to join and leave at any point that suits you.

The event is open to everyone but we regret we cannot accommodate children after 9pm.

4:45pm Doors Open

5:15pm Silent Sufi Meditation

6.06pm Maghrib Adthan & Break Fast (water & dates)

6.20pm Maghrib Prayer

6:45pm IFTAR MEAL

9pm Optional prayers, practices and sohoor (programme tbc )

7:30am (next day) Zawiya closes

About the host:

The School of Sufi Teaching offers instruction in teachings of five main Sufi Orders to awaken the hidden powers of the self and make them operative in life. The technique of the School consists of a special form of meditation (muraqaba), which results in an intuitive insight that enables us to begin to understand the truths about life and the universe whilst developing one’s character. The School strives to understand the essential nature of humans, the universe, and humanity’s relation to it in a way relevant to the contemporary world.
