About this Event
Community Growing Club
Love all things growing and gardening? Want to get involved in some low-commitment community volunteering? We'd love to see you on the first Tuesday of each month to help plant and maintain our new Altrincham Community Garden on Central Way!
In May, a partnership of Olinda Community Gardens, Altrincham Market, and Bounceback Food CIC completed the construction of a new Altrincham Community Garden. Our new Community Garden is a small-scale project with six planters and a climbing green wall featuring herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The aim is to create a community space for gardening and growing, as well as to use what we harvest for Bounceback Food's community cookery classes tackling food poverty, waste, and social isolation.
Though small, this project requires regular maintenance. We are looking for people with good knowledge of gardening to help us with this on a monthly basis. Our kitchen will provide free hot drinks for all volunteers so make sure to come down and join the fun!
