Enjoy three sessions learning all the knitting essentials! Debbie will teach you all you need to know to get started with your first knitting projects.
Sessions are on 3 consecutive Thursdays (7th, 14th, 21st Nov) from 10.30am-1pm and the course fee is the total for all 3 sessions including materials.
You'll make 3 small, fun projects, each one specifically designed to allow you to practice your skills as you learn.
No knitting skills are required - Debbie will be starting right at the beginning. Have some experience or returning to knitting? This course is also a great refresher.
What you will learn:
- Casting on
- Knit
- Purl
- Increase
- Decrease
- Cast off
- Finishing and seaming
- How to follow a knitting pattern
- Tension (gauge) and why it matters
- Tips and tricks for avoiding common mistakes (and how to fix them!)

All materials are included - we provide quality materials - lovely yarn, knitting needles, comprehensive professionally illustrated photo handouts and a selection of Debbie's own, exclusive patterns. We also include tea, coffee and biccies!
About your tutor:
Debbie is the resident technical knitting expert with Knit Now magazine and has been a designer and knitter for over 25 years so you'll be in good hands! Debbie is the author of five knitting books: Hand-dyed Yarn Craft Projects, How to Knit (with 27 online videos), Knitting - Learn it.Love it. 250 Knitting Stitches and the Cable Knitting Stitch Dictionary.
