Somos Esenciales, a program of Cultura y Arte Nativa de las Americas (CANA), is proud to present an immersive event of film, theatrical performance, storytelling, Q&A and comida featuring authentic stories of the Misson District.
Somos Esenciales community research project will present findings about health and economic issues facing Lation and immigrant workers in the Mission District. We invite community members to hear research findings and comment back to our group.

The Indigenous Peoples Cutltural Arts Healing Center activates the healing powers of indigenous cultures, values, and spiritual traditions in service to Indigenous communites.

SOMOS ESENCIALES: Community Revitalization & Health through Arts & Enterpreneurship is a folklife–based participatory action research and intervention project by CANA, UC Riverside, Friendship House Association of Native American Indians, and Somos Esenciales.
