A creative consultation event for disabled and neurodivergent LGBTQI+ people
About this Event

Are you disabled and/or neurodivergent and LGBTIQ+? Equality Network’s new Disability and Neurodiversity Inclusion team invite you to tell us what to do! We want all our work to be as accessible and inclusive as possible and we want to be sure we’re saying and doing the right things when we work for disabled and neurodivergent people so we have created a survey and will be holding small events in person and online to gather your views and ideas.

For the in-person event in Edinburgh we are partnering with LGBT Health and Wellbeing who are opening their lovely space for us to talk about what access and inclusion means to you and share ideas through art and crafts as well as words.

The event will be hosted by LGBT Health and facilitated by Rowan and Mel from Equality Network who are both disabled and neurodivergent themselves with help from a *craft person.*

Who we welcome

All LGBTQ+ people aged 16+ in Edinburgh are welcome to join us.

We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

We also welcome people who are exploring or aren't sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.

Registration

Spaces are limited to 40 people so we need you to register in advance. We will release 25 spaces initially, and retain some spaces for those not digitally connected. If you're aware of somebody who isn't online and may like to attend, please forward the booking phone number 0131 564 3970 and ask them to leave their name and contact number. Jules will call them back to arrange their booking.

Please use this Eventbrite form to register. Registration is for 1 person only. If you wish to book for someone, please make another registration using their name.

You can also contact the event organiser Jules at [email protected], or phone 0131 564 3970 and leave a message for Jules.

If something changes and you can no longer attend the event, please let us know as soon as you can so your booking becomes available for someone else. You can cancel your space on Eventbrite or contact Jules.
