Community Day Packing Session - A simple concept and a rewarding way to give back to those in need.
We welcome volunteers to our first Packing Session of the year at our base in Camden on Feb 15th. Spread the love by giving just two hours of your time to creating Toiletry Kits for donation to two charities local to Camden.
Riverside (Arlington) and Single Homeless Project both work to tackle homelessness by providing hostel accommodation, training and employment support, and health advice.
The volunteering session will consist of building kits of essential items, designing cards and messages to go with them, and getting them ready for donation.
Receiving essential items that nobody should be without not only offers those suffering from homelessness a sense of dignity, but also a personalised reminder that they are not alone.
Please note: There is a kitchen onsite where volunteers can make hot drinks. Alternatively, there are dozens of food and drink places in the surrounding area.
