11A - OLD SCHOOL SKINNY
LA natives Aerick and J'Nelle Luckie met on the dance floor over 13 years ago and immediately something sparked. It's that same spark that inspired them to create a comfortable space where people were saturated with good vibes and good music.
Old School Skinny is a 90’s inspired experience for the mind, body and soul! Get lost in the moment and release your inner Soul Train dancer to a curated playlist where the best of the old school and new school meet.
From class to live events, this interactive house party creates an adrenaline rush that keeps the energy high while the calories burn. OSS is a skillfully crafted combination of interval training, plyometrics and good old-fashioned backyard boogie that gives you a full-body workout with each step. It may be challenging at times, but classes are moderation friendly. The routine is taught to smooth jams so you can fully absorb the steps. Then we pick up the pace until you're 2 legit to quit; leaving that comfort zone behind and revealing a stronger, more empowered YOU!!
12P - TERESA ESPINOSA
This free community class with the incredible Teresa Espinosa is about more than learning choreography — it’s about stepping into your story.
Through movement, music, and shared energy, we’ll explore the idea that you are the hero of your own life. Every dancer brings something unique to the room, and this class is a space to celebrate that—whether it’s your first class or your hundredth. Expect an uplifting environment, inspiring movement, and a reminder that your voice, your presence, and your journey matter. Come dance, connect, and leave feeling a little more powerful than when you walked in.
Teresa Espinosa is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, and director for over 25 years in the dance and entertainment industry. She has worked with THE top artists of our times, such as Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Prince, Usher, Justin Beiber, Rihanna, P!nk, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, and more.
Teresa is an Emmy nominee for her choreographic contributions to Janet Jackson’s HBO Special: The Velvet Rope in Madison Square Garden.
This workshop is being co-produced by The Bootleg Theater, The Latina Dance Project Luckie Creative Group and the Dance Resource Center with support from the DCA, LA County Arts, Creative West and Crenshaw Yoga and Dance.
