About this Event
Join Citywide Youth Coalition (CWYC) for a powerful community conversation on the push to lower the voting age to 16. This gathering will create space for young people, community members, and leaders to learn, listen, and share perspectives on expanding voting rights and increasing representation for those most impacted by policy decisions.
The evening will include a presentation from Yale’s Community Law Clinic, offering context on the legal landscape and implications of this change, followed by an open dialogue where participants can engage, ask questions, and contribute their voices.
At CWYC, we believe those closest to the issues should have a say in shaping solutions. This conversation is an opportunity to explore what it means to build a more inclusive democracy where young people are recognized as active participants in civic life.
