Come learn what it’s like to be Vice Chair of the DNC, how we plan to win back the House, and how we will take fast action to show Americans we are fighting for them! Shasti is listening to the Clark County Democrats and grassroots organizers across Washington to take our ideas back to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for decisive and meaningful action.
Democrats must stop Trump’s agenda by taking back the House, but that is only the beginning. Democrats are fighting for a far better future, and we plan to pass progressive reforms through the House fast when we regain the majority.
1 Medicare for All Who Want It: health care is a human right.
2 An Economy for All: to grow a powerful and inclusive middle class.
3 Dream Act II: a clear road to amnesty and citizenship for law-abiding immigrants.
4 Democracy Rising: align with democracies worldwide, oppose dictatorships, and advance human rights.
5 Election Integrity: get billionaires out of our elections and pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
6 Fairness 52: statehood for Washington DC and Puerto Rico if their people vote for it.
7 Above the Law No More: bipartisan Anticorruption Commission to prosecute political corruption.
We’ll discuss these reforms and more, for an American future that is prosperous, powerful, inclusive, and kind.
Clark County Democrats Chair Tim Probst and Vice Chair Donna Sinclair will moderate this conversation with Shasti driven by the questions you submit ahead of time.

Shasti Conrad Bio:
Shasti Conrad (she/her) is Chair of the Washington State Democrats, the first woman of color and youngest person to serve in her role. Shasti also serves as a Democratic National Committee Vice Chair, where she is helping build a stronger Democratic Party. Adopted from Calcutta by a single mom and raised in rural Oregon, Shasti is also the first South Asian woman to lead a state party organization anywhere in the country and the first AAPI Chair in the contiguous 48 states. In her first term as State Party Chair, Shasti oversaw Democratic victories that included every single statewide office, every Congressional incumbent seat, increased margins in the state legislature, and WA as the only state to go more blue in the entire country. Prior to leading the Washington Democrats, Shasti served as a staffer and consultant on four presidential campaigns and worked in the Obama White House’s Office of Public Engagement and for President Obama’s Senior Advisor. Shasti graduated from Seattle University and received her Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton.
