About this Event
Nathaniel Black is a first-generation graduate of the University of Ottawa who has built his life around public service, community engagement, and practical leadership. Raised in public housing and a lifelong transit rider, he understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing working families and young people in our city.
Nathaniel has served on the board of a community food bank, supporting vulnerable residents and strengthening local networks of care. He was also appointed to a Chief of Police special committee on LGBT safety, where he contributed to improving trust, inclusion, and public safety outcomes.
Professionally, Nathaniel has worked in federal law enforcement, gaining experience in operations, public policy, and community-facing initiatives. Across every role, he has remained deeply active in his community, focused on building safer neighborhoods, expanding opportunity, and delivering results that matter.
