Loch Nisse Monster...
From the swamps of a 70’s-themed house party to Canada’s indie stages, Loch Nisse Monster tells stories with a mix of alternative folk and indie rock. Drawing comparisons to Lucy Dacus, Angel Olsen, and Stevie Nicks, Nisse’s craftful lyricism brings unconventional emotional truths to life. Loch Nisse Monster has been featured on CBC and is a favourite on CKCU radio, and in the local festival network. Her song Fog in the Window was the recipient of an honourable mention from the Carleton Poetry & Songwriting Competition in 2023. In June, Loch Nisse Monster followed up the with her debut album, Forensis. The concept record is based on a the journey of a crime scene as a metaphor for a breakup.
Krista Hartman...
Krista Hartman is a cinematic alt-country songwriter whose music drifts between introspection, wanderlust, and storytelling. Born and raised in Canada’s North Country, she grew up singing vintage country songs around midnight campfires with her musical family. Inspired by Neil Young, she secretly penned her own songs. Songwriting became her golden key to make sense of the world. Years of solo travel, busking, and performing abroad shaped her poetic voice and timeless sound — blending alt country with folk, she performed and collaborated with countless other artists on stage. With four albums and a duet with Ron Sexsmith, Krista continues to craft songs that feel like postcards from the heart.
Kristine St-Pierre...
Soulful folk with a country kick. Kristine St-Pierre sings about love, detours, and betting on yourself. The ‘chansonnière au coeur voyageur’ weaves together a rich blend of folk, roots and country music, captivating listeners in English and French. She received a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for her album La promesse and she was named Francophone artist of the year by the Country Music Association of Ontario in 2025.
Her fourth album, Love & Vulnerability, released in 2024, is described "as a magnificent blend of folk, pop and roots with impressive songwriting and song craft." New music is on the horizon, including a cross-Canada collaboration with Edmonton artist Krista Hartman, and a new album co-written in Nashville and Toronto and produced by Canadian producer Douglas Romanow.
