Coming Back To Yourself: Healing Through Art
What if creativity was not just self-expressionโbut a pathway back to yourself?
Research in the emerging field of NeuroArts explores how artistic experiences influence the brain, nervous system, and emotional well-being. Studies continue to show that engaging with art can reduce stress, increase presence, strengthen emotional regulation, and help people process their inner world in ways words alone often cannot.
Coming Back to Yourself is an intimate healing-through-art experience designed to reconnect you with your inner landscape. Through meditation, reflective writing, antique portrait photography, and collage-making, participants will move through a series of creative practices that invite stillness, curiosity, and self-discovery.
You will begin by writing a love letter to yourself, an act of compassion and recognition for the person you are becoming. This writing will later be layered visually with your portrait and incorporated into a collage composed of textures, images, colors, and materials that resonate with you.
The process becomes a metaphor: gathering the fragments of who you are and placing them side by side.
Your joy.
Your uncertainty.
Your softness.
Your strength.
Art has long existed at the intersection of science, spirituality, and human connection. When we create, we slow down, listen more closely, and begin to integrate parts of ourselves that are often overlooked.
This experience is not about artistic skill.
It is about presence.
It is about self-recognition.
It is about remembering that every part of you belongs.
