About this Event
Homelessness in Washington, DC isn’t just a policy problem—it’s a daily, visible reminder that some of our neighbors are being left behind. And while the city’s luxury apartments seem to multiply faster than a comedian’s insecurities, thousands of DC residents are still without stable housing. It’s cold, it’s unjust, and it’s frankly ridiculous that in one of the wealthiest cities in the world, so many are still struggling to find a place to call home.
Grassroots Comedy has seen enough. That’s why we’re teaming up once again with our friends at Miriam’s Kitchen- the local powerhouse working tirelessly to end chronic homelessness in DC. Join us for a night of laughter, purpose, and impact featuring some of the funniest comedians in the Mid-Atlantic. Because nothing pairs better with justice than a good punchline.
Miriam’s Kitchen is committed to ending chronic and veteran homelessness in Washington, DC. Every dollar donated fuels their comprehensive approach—starting with chef-prepared, made-from-scratch meals that build trust and dignity, and extending to life-changing support like housing navigation, medical and behavioral health care, and on-site social services. Your generosity helps ensure their guests not only have a safe, healthy meal today, but also a clear pathway to stable housing, independence, and hope for tomorrow.
So come out, grab a drink, and laugh for a cause that’s no joke. Because if we can all share a laugh, maybe we can all share a city where everyone has a home.
