About this Event
*HAPPY HOUR: 6pm | SHOW: 7PM
Join OneAID and Grassroots Comedy for a night of stand-up, sarcasm, and survival.
Just over a year after the USAID stop-work order kicked off a chain of events that upended the foreign assistance world as we knew it, we’re doing what any reasonable community would do: processing our collective trauma through comedy. Come laugh about the chaos, the absurdity, and the bonds forged in the fires of DOGE.
OneAID began as a response to help people in the midst of monumental change. This dedicated community of U.S. foreign assistance professionals, many of whom have experienced sudden career loss and financial impact, needs specialized support and camaraderie. Their mission is to sustain and empower the U.S. foreign assistance community. They serve as a connector and information hub to carry forward the knowledge, expertise, and dedication of this community, transcending borders to advance global peace and prosperity.
Featuring some of the best comedians in the Mid-Atlantic with a thing or two to say about the current state of the world.
Start with a cocktail hour at 6:00 PM, then settle in for the show at 7:00 PM. All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the impacted foreign assistance community.
So turn those tears into tear-supplemented laughter, and we'll see you at the show!
