On the night before he died, Jesus gathered with his friends around a table and shared food with them. Jesus broke bread and poured wine, serving them in love.And Jesus gave them a new commandment: to love one another as he had loved them.
This evening is a chance to remember that night, not as a re-creation of the Passover, but as a Christian meal of fellowship, service, and reflection.
We will share a simple meal together, serve one another in a spirit of humility, and celebrate Holy Communion. As the meal ends, we will move into church for quiet prayer, keeping watch with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
It is a gentle, prayerful evening, an opportunity to pause, to reflect, and to step more deeply into the Holy Week story of love, courage, and hope.
Donations on the evening are welcome towards the cost of the meal.
