This Good Friday, you are warmly invited to join us for something a little different: a simple Passion Play, telling the story of the final hours of Jesus’ life.This is not a grand production — it is a thoughtful and moving retelling of the events of Holy Week, offered in a way that is accessible for all ages, and especially for those who may not usually come to church.
The Passion Play is being offered together by St Laurence Church, Churches Together in Alvechurch and Rowney Green, and St Leonard’s Church, Beoley — a shared act of faith, community, and witness.
Good Friday is a day when Christians remember love that stayed faithful, even when the world turned dark. It is a day of sorrow — but also a day that speaks deeply to anyone who has ever experienced loss, injustice, or the pain of life not being as it should be.
There will be two performances:
10.30am and 7.00pm
Whether you come in the morning or the evening, you will be very welcome.
Come and watch.
Come and reflect.
Come and walk with us through the story that leads to Easter hope.
