About this Event
Have you ever wondered how it feels to play a cathedral organ? Well this is your opportunity to hear and play one of the country's most incredible musical instruments. This opportunity is designed for school-aged musicians who have already started learning the organ. You will be invited to take part in a workshop where you will play the renowned Harrison organ with the support of Liam Condon, Assistant Director of Music. We encourage you to bring along repertoire which is already familiar to you as playing on a new instrument can be quite overwhelming at first!
Following this there will be a talk led by our Cathedral Organ Scholar, Adam Heron, who will discuss the various options for taking your organ studies into organ scholarship and further education.
At the end of the session, please stay to hear the organ favourites recital at 12:30, played by Liam Condon! This is open to all, so do invite anyone to attend! At 13:15, there will be a short talk about the Coventry Cathedral Organ.
