Calling all plant-lovers. In the morning, Michael Perry - Mr Plant Geek is bringing his roadshow of weird, wacky and wonderful vegetation to Camden! Expect to be enraptured with demos and tastings as you meet the worlds most amazing plants. Plants that spontaneously combust and plants that can count, to plants that can change your perception of taste and plants that smell like death!
Discover the tallest plant in the world, the smelliest and the smallest with Mr Plant Geek, who will also be on hand to answer all of your plant queries.
A master class by Michael Perry -aka Mr Plant Geek, hortpreneur, speaker, gardener and container expert who appears on This Morning, Stephs Packed Lunch and is QVCs resident gardening expert.
In the afternoon forget everything you know about planting. This is Barakura Style! in shorthand, this is horticultural freedom, this is flower arranging but with real plants! A container master class by Michael Perry - Mr Plant Geek - in his own unique style!
The Barakura style gives immediate enjoyment, and is designed as a container installation! you'll be mixing the plants of your wildest dreams, in density that gives impact from day one. It's an innovative style of planting, with annuals, perennials and shrubs being used all in the same container. You cannot guarantee a Barakura Style container will look the same for nine months, but you can guarantee it will evolve over time, and can be interchanged and parts replanted as you wish.
In the workshop Michael will help you to create a Barakura style container to take home from a wide collection of plants and containers. This combined event ticket price includes tea/coffee/soft drink tea and biccies in the morning and afternoon and lunch between sessions ! Plants and containers that you use will be charged separately on the day at 20% off usual price - we will provide the compost for free!
