Colourism Training

Join Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices for an online session on Colourism.

This workshop explores how colourism can impact our day to day lives and includes:

• The rise of harmful skin whitening products
• The influence of social media and advertising on skin shade satisfaction
• Steps we might take to encourage positive terminology, resist pressures and feel better in our own bodies.

The workshop is facilitated by our Monica Majumdar who has expertise in body image, marketing and social media. She is pursuing a PhD at Queen Mary University of London, specialising in the psychological impact of skin brightening products for South Asian women.
