The Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge is back with the second challenge of 2026. The Colorado 150 Challenge, six separate 2-month challenges, each with a 150-mile target, all to celebrate the Centennial State's 150th anniversary!

The six Challenges will be as follows: (1) January/February, (2) March/April, (3) May/June, (4) July/August, (5) September/October, and (6) November/December. Each 2-month Challenge will have a cumulative 150-mile mileage goal, for a 2026 annual total goal of 900 miles (or as many as you can!). Special Colorado 150 merch items are also available: Colorado 150 frame and Colorado 150 t-shirt. Join one singular challenge, join all six, or anything in between.

This registration is for our 2-month March/April challenge -- 2026 Spring Edition! Join us virtually this spring to run, walk, hike, and bike as many miles as you can throughout the 2 months. Your miles will cumulatively accrue between March & April, with mileage rewards at 50, 100, and 150 miles. See below for more info on how mileage works, as well as full swag item descriptions.

Brought to you by the Colorado Brewery Running Series, all of the Colorado 150 Challenges will help you stay active & accountable, provide some fun motivation, and allow you to earn awesome swag/gear. This Spring Edition marks 6 consecutive years hosting these virtual challenges -- since April 2020, our 14,000+ participants have collectively logged over 1,500,000 miles!

You can do any of the following activities: run, walk, hike, and bike (treadmill and stationary bike miles count as well)! As our challenge is based on 50, 100, and 150-mile goals, we will adjust your biking miles to the industry-accepted equivalent of 1 mile on foot equals 3 miles on a bike. Please see more details below.

Join all 6 planned 2026 Challenges to collect your commemorative Colorado 150 Challenge medals (each medal measures ~3 inches x ~2.5 inches)! As a fun motivator to stay active throughout 2026, we've designed a collectible swag keepsake you can build on all year long. We have six different Challenges planned for 2026, and each Challenge will include a different triangular medal piece-- put them all together on the magnetic base and complete your Colorado 150 frame (total size measures ~10 inches x ~8 inches with frame)! Each triangular piece will be included with the Challenge's Registration goodies. The magnetic medal base frame is available as an add-on during check-out.

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS:
  1. Register for this event on Eventbrite
  2. Upgrade (optional): If you like, add on the Spring Edition unisex t-shirt or unisex hoodie, OR upgrade to VIP GOLD to receive all of the Spring Edition swag items + more! Also check out our 2026 Colorado 150 Challenge Season Pass!
  3. Download the Colorado 150 Challenge app, where you will self-report your daily mileage (on the honor system), track toward your 2-month Spring Edition Challenge mileage goal, see the total miles logged by the entire Challenge group, track mileage from your friends/family, and see who is leading the pack with the most miles. App download details and instructions will be sent via email on February 28th (or, if you register during march/April, within a few hours of when you register - we manually send these emails, so thanks for your patience!)
  4. Strava: We recommend using Strava to track your daily miles. Once you join Strava (it's FREE!), you can then follow this link to join our Colorado Brewery Running Series club - https://www.strava.com/clubs/cobrs
  5. Work hard to reach each mileage level! Run/walk/hike/bike (treadmill and stationary bike miles can be counted.)
  6. Earn your goodies: The more you run/walk/hike/bike, the more awesome rewards you will earn!
  7. Get your rewards/swag mailed ro you: All of your swag/goodies will ship out at the end of the Challenge. See more details below!

DURING THE 2-MONTH SPRING CHALLENGE (MAR/APR):
  • Track your miles in the Colorado 150 Virtual Distance Challenge app
  • We recommend using Strava to track your miles, and it is possible to link most current devices (app/watch/or via manual entry) to Strava.
  • All registered participants can log miles from March 1 until April 30, 2026.
  • Earn rewards throughout the 2 months as you hit mileage milestones (50, 100, 150 mileage targets)
  • Tag us on Instagram and Facebook @cobreweryrun and use the hashtags #covirtualchallenge and #cobrs2026
  • Registration is open during the entirety of March/April, but the earlier you register, the sooner you will reach your mileage rewards!
  • And as always, be sure to enjoy your post-run/walk cooldowns with a tasty Colorado craft beer!

HOW BIKING MILES WORK:
  • EACH of the following counts towards your Challenge mileage total: run, walk, hike, and bike. Treadmill and stationary bike miles can be counted. Multiple activities per day count as well.
  • Each biking mile will count as 1/3 of a mile toward your overall 2-month Spring Challenge mileage total. Any miles traveled on foot (run/walk/hike) are logged at a standard 1:1 ratio.
  • As our challenge is based on mileage goals of 50/100/150 miles, we will adjust your biking miles to the industry-accepted equivalent of 1 mile on foot equals 3 miles on a bike.
  • For example, on March 1st, you bike 12 miles; this counts as 4 miles towards your Challenge total (12 miles divided by 3 = 4 miles). Then March 2nd, you run 3 miles. Your monthly total = 7 miles for those two days.
  • You will use our Colorado 150 Virtual Distance Challenge app to self-report your miles, regardless of which activity you're doing.
  • For each activity, you will enter the actual mileage you complete. For any biking miles entered, our system will apply the 1/3 calculation above.

THE REWARDS:

The Spring Edition swag items are custom-designed and feature shades of green, cream, pink, and orange.

  • Registration (included): Colorado 150 Challenge souvenir bib and 2026 Colorado 150 commemorative medal #2 (collect all 6 in 2026). Note: The medal features a small magnet on the back, which integrates with the special magnetized 2026 Colorado 150 Challenge frame (see photos below).
  • 50-mile goal (in 2 months): Challenge sticker and Colorado 150 wooden keychain
  • 100-mile goal (in 2 months): Challenge branded sunglasses case with carabiner clip.
  • 150-mile goal (in 2 months): A pair of Goodr sunglasses of your choice. 4 different pairs to choose from (OG style choices - A Unicorn's Calamity, Lilac It Like That, Three Parts Tee. Or the Goodr Circle G - Nine Dollar Pour Over). Find more info about these four options by searching for them on Goodr.com

UPGRADES, ADD-ONS, ALTERNATIVE TICKET OPTIONS:
  • Optional Apparel Add-on: Add on your choice of apparel: (1) a soft unisex cut t-shirt, or (2) a soft unisex long sleeve shirt. The t-shirt & long sleeve fabric color is heathered light green. Both apparel items are a unisex fit that are true to size.
  • VIP Gold Upgrade at Registration: Receive all of the goodies, no matter how many miles you're able to log! We still encourage you to strive to log 150 miles during the 2-month Spring Edition Challenge, but we get it, life is busy. Not everyone has the time to run/walk/hike/bike the equivalent of 150 miles in 2 months. If this sounds like you, and you still want all of these awesome goodies, then the VIP Gold Registration is just the ticket! Receive the following with VIP Gold Registration: (1) Challenge Bib, (2) 2026 Commemorative Medal #2, (3) Sticker + Keychain, (4) Sunglasses Case, (5) pair of Goodr Sunglasses (choose from the 4 options), (6) Choice of either 1 free CO BRS 2026 5k in-person entry OR a $25 CO BRS merchandise store credit, and (7) Choice of Challenge t-shirt or long sleeve (note there is a different cost for the t-shirt vs. long sleeve).
  • Colorado 150 Challenge Season Pass: The Colorado 150 Challenge Season Pass gives you access to all six two-month challenges throughout 2026. Once you register, you will receive a code that is valid for each challenge. You will return to Eventbrite and register for the ticket of your choice (apparel and VIP Gold add-ons are available for an additional charge). Your Season Pass comes with a FREE 2026 CO 150 Challenge T-Shirt (grey unisex) and the 2026 CO 150 Challenge Medal Frame (A $50 value).
  • BASIC Ticket (Bib/Medal/Sticker Only): Want to join the Challenge, but interested in something more streamlined without all of the goodies? The BASIC Ticket is a simpler option: no matter how many or few miles you do, you get three swag items: (1) the Challenge bib, (2) 2026 commemorative medal #2, and (3) Challenge sticker. Optional: add on a t-shirt or hoodie of your choice. You'll still get access to the Challenge app (where you can log your miles if you like), plus receive our periodic Challenge emails.
