About this Event
During this evening of sound and story, a group of visionary musicians, poets, and storytellers gathers to reweave our relationship with our city's waters, past and future. The Collect Pond Park is on the site of what was once a huge spring-fed pond, 50 acres wide and sixty feet deep, that fed into nearby streams and marshes. It was polluted and filled in, but the springs still thrum deep beneath the pavement. Similarly, the visions and dreams we need to build a vibrant, tender future seem hidden but are in fact right beneath our feet.
Tonight as the sun sets over the buildings of Lower Manhattan, we'll weave new myths that can guide us to a renewed relationship with our city, the sacred waters, and one another.
