Howdy y'all, I'm Joe, and I've created a new cross-country race coming to NWA!
Coler Crush is a new annual cross-country race happening the weekend of July 19, 2026, combining running, moutain biking, and even some camping! Happening at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, the race features both trail running and mountain biking races across multiple skill categories making it accessible to athletes of all experience levels.
Participants will have the option to camp at Coler Campground, creating a weekend-long experience that combines competition, community, and the outdoors. The goal is to create an event that celebrates the region’s world-class trails while welcoming both local riders and visitors to experience the Northwest Arkansas cycling scene.
Coler Crush will take place at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve in Bentonville, Arkansas, bringing together trail runners, mountain bikers, and outdoor enthusiasts for a full weekend of racing and community events. The race will be part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS) and will feature cross-country mountain bike racing across multiple competitive categories, including Beginner, Category 1, Category 2, Category 3, and Single Speed divisions. Registration will be managed through BikeReg to make sign-up simple and accessible for participants.
The event will begin on Saturday afternoon with packet pickup, followed by trail running events including 5K and 10K races. Throughout the afternoon and evening, participants and spectators can enjoy vendor booths, live music, and a community BBQ at the Coler campground area, which will also serve as the central hub for race start and finish activities.
On Sunday morning, the focus shifts to the cross-country mountain bike races, which will run from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. across the Coler trail system. The race format is designed to challenge experienced competitors while remaining welcoming to newer riders who want to test themselves on one of NWA’s premier trail networks.
For those wanting to fully experience the weekend, limited camping will be available at Coler Campground, with approximately 22 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Saturday afternoon.
