Dr Claire Lucas is Head of Medical Sciences at the University of Chester Medical School.
Claire is also an established researcher with expertise in biomarkers predictive of clinical outcome in leukaemia, with a particular focus on chronic myeloid leukaemia. With over 15 years’ experience working as a NHS Scientist, Claire brings a clinically grounded perspective to her research, ensuring that her work remains relevant, translational, and aligned with real world healthcare needs.
In addition, Claire is a working mum to 3 children and is passionate about supporting work-life balance for staff and students.
