Hello Everyone!!! If you already like, or are interested in finding out about, GARDENING and/ or HORTICULTURE then this just may be of real interest. Please read on..... The North of England Rose, Carnation and Sweet-Pea Horticultural Society (known more generally as ROSECARPE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY) meets the first Monday of every month from 1.00pm - 3.00pm at BARLEY MOW VILLAGE HALL and is actively looking for NEW MEMBERS to join!!!
It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned gardener or looking at your first gardening experience......you will find a warm welcome at Rosecarpe! And advice, information and (if you should need it) guidance.
North of England Rosecarpe Horticultural Society was founded 80 years ago to encourage members of the community to cultivate flowers and other plants. And 70 years later it is still going strong!
The society has regular monthly meetings at which members discuss all things horticultural as well as having lectures and competitions. It's a great group that offers the opportunity to meet new friends that share a passion for all-things gardening and horticulture.
Rosecarpe is looking forward to more great monthly sessions in 2026 and our second of which is from 1.00PM - 3.00PM on MONDAY 02ND MARCH with VERY SPECIAL GUEST....CHRISTINE LITTLE who will be giving a talk about the fabulous BIRKHEADS SECRET GARDEN which is a Garden Visitor attraction near Gateshead with 3 acres of gardens, plants and birdsong. It has unusual and rare hardy garden plants produced in a traditional nursery that can be purchased from the Potting Shed Shop which also stocks interesting garden artefacts. And Christine will be here to tell everyone all about it.
