About this Event
Join us for a unique culinary experience where you'll learn how to make authentic dishes from Venezuela, Mexico, and El Salvador, led by Cocina Libre's talented immigrant chefs. Each session features a live cooking demonstration and a shared meal and drinks. This event is donation-based ($50 suggested donation per session). All profits beyond expenses directly support immigrant chefs by providing professional culinary training and assistance in obtaining the necessary licenses to run their own food businesses. Your contribution helps these chefs gain independence, build sustainable careers, and expand their impact in our community. Come for one or join us for all three evenings of food, stories, and community connection! Use this link to sign up:https://udenver.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8odVmDWAxQrM7Pg
This project aims to preserve and honor the culinary traditions of immigrant chefs, fostering a deeper understanding of their contributions to our shared cultural heritage. The event will also be documented in a professional video that will become part of the Colorado State Archives and History Colorado collections, ensuring these stories endure for generations.
Come connect with the Latinx community, celebrate cultural identity, and experience the power of storytelling through food.
