Join us for an immersive weekend where you'll go from complete beginner to confident ShopBot operator. This isn't your typical demonstration-heavy workshop – this is 100% hands-on learning where you'll design AND create your own project.
What Makes This Workshop Special
We believe in learning by doing. Over two days, you'll master every aspect of CNC routing, from digital design to finished product. Our intimate group format (maximum 4 participants) ensures you get extensive one-on-one instruction and plenty of actual cutting time on the ShopBot.
And because we're makers who make everything – yes, we even fire up the grill to make lunch together! It's all part of the collaborative, creative atmosphere that makes learning fun.
Your Weekend Journey
Saturday: Design Day (10 AM - 4 PM) Start with CNC fundamentals and safety, then dive into design software. Break for lunch (we provide), you'll understand how to think like a CNC operator. The afternoon is all about creating your custom project design with instructor guidance. You'll leave Saturday excited about what you're going to make.
Sunday: Make Day (10 AM - 4 PM)
This is where the magic happens. Set up your material, select your tools, and watch your design come to life. You'll operate the ShopBot yourself (with supervision), troubleshoot real situations, and finish your project to take home. By 4 PM, you'll have both a completed project AND the confidence to create more.

Your Instructor
Beau Turner brings 10+ years of CNC experience and a passion for teaching. Known for patient, clear explanations and hands-on teaching style, he ensures every student leaves confident in their new skills and for those with a little experience already, you will learn a few new tricks.
What to Bring
- Laptop if you have one (we'll provide computers if needed). We'll teach VCarve Pro for toolpaths, but you're welcome to design in your preferred software like Fusion
- Closed-toe shoes (required for safety)
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (our shop can get warm in summer!)
- Note-taking supplies
- Your creativity and questions!
- Optional: Project ideas or inspiration photos

Free parking available on-site.
The workshop takes place in our fully equipped woodshop with our professional ShopBot PRSalpha CNC router.

- Space is strictly limited to 4 participants to ensure quality instruction and maximum hands-on machine time.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens – we get it. Full refund available up to 7 days before the workshop. 50% refund available 3-6 days before. Within 48 hours, no refunds but full credit toward future workshops. If we cancel for any reason, you'll receive a full refund.
