Congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common virus that can be passed to a baby during pregnancy. It is a leading infectious cause of childhood hearing loss, yet many people have never heard of it.
CMV can impact:

Simple ways to help reduce risk during pregnancy:
- Wash hands often
- Avoid sharing food or drinks with young children
- Avoid contact with saliva when kissing young children
